moved further forward to stretch your legs out.

Organization member dedicated to preserving or obtaining your
rights and freedom as a biker.

Gap |
The space between you and the motorcycle in
front is what is know as a gap. The Road Captain may give the
signal to close up the gap or spread out the gap.

Group Ride |
An organized ride consisting of 3 or more
motorcycles under the charge of a Road Captain and tailed by a
Drag Man.

Hand Signals |
Signals given by the Road Captain to indicate
to the group what he wants them to do. The Road Captain's signals
are relayed by each member in the ride letting the riders behind
them know what the Road Captain is saying to the group.

Mid-Line Relay |
A Mid-Line Relay is a rider that is
strategically placed in the pack where there are a large number of
riders. When the Road Captain signals a lane change the drag man
is to secure the lane for the group. Mid-line relays will pull
into the lane so that the drag man will know that the Road Captain
is intending to change lanes and wants the lane secured. Mid-Line
Relays are used in very large groups of 40 or more riders.

A meeting held by the Road Captain to inform

The Road Captain will hold a pre ride meeting
to explain the where the group is riding, what the route will be,
known hazards along the route, and where the rest stops will be.
Usually the Chaplain will say a prayer, for those who wish to
participate, asking that the ride be safe.

Pucker Factor |
Indicates how tight your ass got on a close
call while riding your bike with accident of some kind or hairy
situation.

Rags |
Commonly used when referring to your cut or
colors but in some areas it is used to referencing to a woman's
colors

Rat Bike |
Used to describe an older bike that appears it
has not been takin care or and possible abused.

Relay |
The act of every member in the pack duplicating
the signs made by the Road Captain. In a large pack it is
impossible for everyone to see what the Road Captain's signs are,
so it is the responsibility of all riders to relay the signs back
to the other riders.

Rice Burner |
Commonly used when refering to Asian made
motorcycles.

RICO |
Acronym meaning "Racketeer Influenced and
Corrupt Organizations". Mafia was prime target for Laws passed to
combat organized crime but is sometimes used against MC Clubs.

Rider |
The driver or person in control of the
motorcycle. The rider is not the person on the back of the
motorcycle, even though he or she is in fact riding.

Ridin' Bitch |
Riding as passenger of a bike.
|
|
Road Captain |
The Road Captain is completely in charge of
everything and everyone riding in the group ride. Even the
President of the chapter follows direction from the Road Captain.
Always follow the Road Captain even if you realize he is going the
wrong way. You can get the Road Captain's attention by honking
your horn and then let him know he has made a wrong turn. By
observing this rule everyone stays together and it is easier to
get back on the right track.

Road Guard |
The Road Guard also known as an Out Rider, is
responsible for holding traffic at intersections in situations
where the Road Captain has received prior approval by the local
Law Enforcement Agency.

Road Team |
The Road Team is made up of all members
appointed by the Road Captain to assist him in conducting the
ride. This team includes but is not limited to road guards, drag
men, mid relay riders, and Sgt at Arms.

Rocker |
Part of MC colors that indicates geographic
area, location or territory in which they represent or are from.
|

RUB |
Acronym meaning Rich Urban Biker, normally a
biker that rides ocassionally and is not a member of a club or
organization

Sergeant At Arms |
The Sergeant At Arms carries out the orders of
the Road Captain and provides security for the ride. In a
situation where a rider is asked not to ride with the group for
unsafe practices or being intoxicated, it is the responsibility of
the Sgt. At Arms to enforce the Road Captain's decision to expel
the rider from the pack.

riders to move to a single file formation one behind the other and
directly behind the Road Captain.

Rights. Not all states have this organization but it is like
an MRO except defined by the state in which they operate. Most
often associated with National MROs such as AMA and MRF. However
working on a state level, with state government to protect
motorcyclists rights and freedoms. Membership is often open to
clubs or riders with members paying annual dues. Even though they
do cannot wear the patch on front of vest a club could still be a
member of a SMRO.

The usual riding formation used in most cases
by American Cruisers Alliance. This formation provides for safe
following distance and allows the rider to swerve if needed to
avoid obstacles.

Two by Two, Wheel to Wheel, Parade Formation
are terms used when the riders are riding side by side in the same
lane. This formation should never be used in a group ride except
when in a parade or at the Road Captain's order and then never at
a speed greater than 25 MPH.
