Pre Ride
Meeting
The Road Captain will hold
a Pre-Ride Meeting to explain the route and relay any
pertinent information to the riders in the group prior
to the group pack leaving on the ride. This is also
when the Road Captain will point out any dangers along
the route if he has pre ridden it. He will also at
this time, if he is familiar with the route, let each
member of the group know when and where the rest
stops, gas stops, and food stops will be. If the a Chaplain is present, the Road Captain will ask
him or her to say a prayer for those who wish to
participate, asking that the ride be safe and
uneventful.
Post Ride
Meeting
After each ride the Road
Captain should hold a Post Ride Meeting to let the
group know of any concerns he had during the ride. The
Road Captain will also use the Post Ride Meeting to
express anything particularly outstanding about the
ride. This is a good time to ask any questions you may
have had about a procedure during the ride. Usually
this is the time when the Road Captain will release
all riders to the own leisure to leave and ride in
style and manner of their own choosing.
